The dual-rate spring will allow the vehicle to transition small road irregularities via a soft spring rate. When the vehicle compresses the spring far enough (through large bumps or cornering), it transitions to the firmer spring rate to control the bump or body roll. We have worked closely with Hyperco to develop custom dual rates to ensure the best ride possible.

Description

StreetGRIP front lowering coilsprings improve the handling, ride quality and stance of your 1968-1972 GM A-Body muscle car including Chevelle, Malibu, GTO, 442, Lemans, Tempest, Skylark and Cutlass. They feature a dual rate design spring which gives your A-Body the best of both worlds. The “soft” spring section helps your car to transition over small road irregularities with emphasis on comfort. As the spring further compresses, such as when encountering large bumps and high cornering loads, the design transition to the firmer aka “stiff” spring rate. StreetGRIP coil springs are CNC cold-wound from high tensile premium steel by then powder-coated for long-lasting, consistent operation. Using our exclusive test track, Ridetech works in conjunction with Hyperco, our technology partner, to develop custom dual rate springs to ensure the best possible handling and ride quality for your A-Body.
